Description
Known as the “Pearl” of mushrooms, the oyster mushroom has a very delicate flavor and cooks quickly, which makes it great for quick stir-fry’s or simple soups. Eaten raw, the mushroom has a slightly bitter and tangy flavor.
Suggested Uses: Due to its delicate nature, the oyster is one of the few mushrooms that does not need to be re-hydrated before cooking. Added toward the end of the cooking process, oyster mushrooms pair well with white meats and seafood, stir fry’s and braising.
